BIOGRAPHY

John R. Dietlein M.D.

Dr. Dietlein received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and his Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology form California State University, Long Beach.   He received his M.D. from the University of Nevada School of Medicine.  

He completed his residency in Family Medicine in the Los Angeles area.  He worked as a Family Physician in Magna, Utah for eighteen years until entering the field of Geriatrics / Home Care Medicine in 2001 and Palliative and Hospice Medicine in 2003.

Dr. Dietlein is an active staff member of Cottownwood Hospital and Pioneer Valley Hospital.

Dr. Dietlein is a member of the American Geriatrics Society, The American Academy of Home Care Physicians and The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  

He is married and lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and 2 teenage children. Dr. Dietlein is a member of Mountain View Christian Assembly and enjoys backpacking, hiking and skiing.
